FAQ

What is BEACON?

BEACON is Better.sg’s flagship #techforgood conference, where we host the greatest minds in Singapore and invite everyone to come together to consolidate ways, ideas, and principles on how to launch, sustain, and incorporate tech4good projects into their work and lives.

In 2023, we organised our inaugural conference to gather changemakers and propel this movement forward. The event gathered about 500 changemakers to drive conversations on leveraging technology for social impact in Singapore. Our speakers included an array of leaders representing the non-profit and tech sectors, including CEOs of Carousell, The Majurity Trust, Homage, as well as leaders from GIVE.Asia, HERA Digital Health, and better.sg’s projects. You can watch the highlights here

What is better.sg?

Since Better.sg was founded in 2020, we have grown to a community with more than 2,300 volunteers. They include software developers, designers, data scientists, product managers, digital marketers, all of whom are committed to using their skillset to assist non-profit organisations and social causes.
